Maintenance Technician

Location: Theodore Cement Plant, AL

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Theodore Cement Plant. This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems to ensure optimal plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance tasks on mechanical systems throughout the facility
  • Provide oversight and guidance to contractor personnel
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and repairs on plant equipment
  • Service and lubricate equipment as required
  • Participate in formal and on-the-job training programs to broaden technical and non-technical skills
  • Work rotating shifts and weekends as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies; promote a culture of safety

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required; 2 years of technical college in a related field preferred
  • 2–4 years of industrial maintenance experience; 4–5 years in chemical or heavy industry preferred
  • Demonstrated technical maintenance skills, including troubleshooting air compressors, repairing bearings and drives, installing equipment, lubrication, piping, rigging, welding/cutting, and fabrication
  • Effective computer and systems skills
  • Valid Driver’s License preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including respirators
