Akkodis is seeking a Logistics Specialist for a 6+ months Contract and Hybrid position with a client located in Chickasaw AL.

Pay Range: $35/hr. -$38/hr. On W2 (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and develop logistics plans affecting production, distribution, and inventory
• Create and review distribution and inventory management procedures
• Maximize customer satisfaction while minimizing costs
• Coordinate shipments and support global logistics operations
• Ensure regulatory compliance for international transportation

Materials shipping compliance:

• IATA
• IMDG
• DOT
• U.S. export regulations and country-specific import/export requirements

Preparation of international shipping documents:

• Commercial/customs invoices
• Packing lists
• Certificates of Origin
• Free Trade Agreement documentation
• Bills of Lading
• Certificates of Analysis

Export documentation:

• Export Declarations
• Shipper’s Letters of Instruction (SLI)
• Other required export paperwork
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Ability to prioritize and work with urgency
• Comfortable presenting to senior leadership
• Strong accountability and responsiveness
• Decision-making skills in uncertain situations

Experience:

• Entry-level to early-career role
• 0–2 years of related experience
• Associate degree or equivalent preferred
• Works under supervision with established guidelines and procedures

Ideal Candidate:

• A candidate with foundational logistics, shipping, or supply chain experience who understands international transportation and export documentation, has strong organizational skills, and can work effectively with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
