Craft and Technical Solutions hiring Senior Accountant in Mobile, AL

We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to oversee core accounting functions and ensure the integrity of financial reporting. The ideal candidate for CTS will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and accounts payable. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Manage balance sheet, bank, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare comprehensive financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
• Assist leadership with annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate audit schedules and serve as the main point of contact for external auditors.
• Evaluate existing accounting workflows and implement process improvements or automations.
• Accurately code invoices and manage accounts payable.
• Tackle special projects as directed by leadership.
• Reconcile customer accounts and assist with accounts receivable collection.
• File required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
• Coordinate with software vendors as needed to maintain the accounting system.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas
• Excel at staying accurate under pressure while managing multiple priorities
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized
