Role Description The Manufacturing Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mobile, AL. This role is responsible for analyzing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and safety. Day-to-day tasks include developing and optimizing production workflows, supporting machining operations, and collaborating with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to resolve technical issues. The Manufacturing Engineer will create and update process documentation, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and participate in root cause analysis for production problems. The role also involves monitoring performance metrics, supporting equipment layout and selection, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards and customer requirements.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Manufacturing Processes and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Industrial Engineering, including workflow optimization and process improvement.
  • Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Mechanical Engineering applied to production environments.
  • Candidates should possess experience with Machining operations and related tooling and equipment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably in process optimization and production support.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, and use relevant engineering software and tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies, and quality standards (e.g., ISO) is beneficial.
