Firman Solutions hiring Process Engineer in Axis, AL

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
- Scope capital and expense projects aligned with operations improvement goals
- Manage small to medium capital projects from initiation through completion
- Identify and implement low-cost solutions to improve operations and increase production rates
- Support operations teams with root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of plant process issues
- Perform data acquisition, analysis, and evaluation using data historian systems
- Monitor asset performance, document findings, and recommend solutions to improve asset utilization
- Evaluate existing and new processes for safety impact and compliance
- Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) activities
- Support control system troubleshooting and basic programming activities
Qualifications – Education, Training & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a chemical or petrochemical plant environment (3+ years preferred)
- Experience working with highly hazardous chemical processes is a plus
- Prior leadership experience or experience leading teams is a plus
- Background in maintenance and/or chemical laboratory operations is a plus
