General Information

This is administrative and supervisory work in assisting in the management of parks and municipal grounds construction and maintenance activities, including the playground safety program.

JURISDICTION HIRING RATE

CITY OF MOBILE $54,505 – $68,070

Requirements

Minimum Qualification Requirements: Attainment of a bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university in parks management, horticulture, landscape architecture or related field and a minimum of three years experience in horticulture or landscaping work, including a minimum of one year responsible supervisory or administrative experience, preferably in a municipal parks system; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.

Special Requirements: Must possess a valid driver’s license from state of residence. Must obtain a Certified Playground Safety Inspector certification prior to completion of the one year working test period.
