The Instructional Supports Specialist (Behavior Analyst or BCBA candidate) is responsible for assisting with behavioral program development, including (but not limited to):
- Conduct relevant assessments to determine clinical outcomes
- Provide oversight of the implementation of individualized clinical initiatives for people receiving services at The Learning Tree, Inc.
- Conduct effective staff training, as directed by their BCBA supervisor, and provide direct observational feedback to staff member of behavioral program implementation
- Complete supervision and performance appraisal of Instructional Support Monitors (Behavior Technicians) to ensure quality supports for people receiving services from the agency and efficacy of service delivery
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Special Education or Education, or closely related field.
- Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) preferred, or BCBA candidate.
- Minimum one year of experience with service delivery to people with intellectual/developmental disabilities, and a good driving record.
- Proven abilities in analytics, communication (verbal and written), and presentation of information.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal laws, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Job function includes the ability to participate in crisis management procedures, to include, but not limited to: lifting and lowering people to and from the floor, standing from a kneeling position and dropping to kneeling position while physically controlling a person, blocking attempted blows and bites, transporting people in crisis, and deflecting blows from thrown objects.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal laws.
