This position will interact customers daily to build relationships, provide sealing solutions, and sell cylinder components, including rod/tube and seals, into the cylinder OEM, automotive OEM, oil and gas, food/beverage/water, instrumentation, and utility markets. They work to maintain ongoing relationships to create sustainable repeat business, positioning Trelleborg as a key partner with their clients.

Essential Functions: (must be able to perform these functions, with or without reasonable accommodation).

  • Follow up with leads provided internally by the marketing department, customer service, or sales director.
  • Must be comfortable making cold calls over the phone.
  • Develop and deliver product and service presentations to the customer (PowerPoint).
  • Generate sales to new customers and create organic growth with existing accounts by determining customer requirements and expectations.
  • Manage time effectively and work successfully with other team members to meet sales goals.
  • Use CRM tool (HubSpot) for recording of call notes and activities.
  • Handle customer concerns or issues in a timely professional manner.
  • Resolve product or service problems and expedite corrective actions.
  • Participate in special projects as requested.
  • Must become fluent with the CRM tool (HubSpot) for recording of call notes and activities.
  • Must possess strong math and mechanical skills.
  • Must be able to travel 50% of the time.

Required Skills, knowledge, and abilities: (these are required to enable job holder to perform the essential functions of the job).

  • Must have/develop a thorough understanding of CRC Distribution products.
  • Must be able to interact cordially and productively with co-workers in a team environment and establish relationships with individuals at all levels of the company.
  • Minimum of 4 Year College degree required. (Business or Engineering preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year experience in sales, or engineering related field
  • Strong Technical proficiency helpful. Must be mechanically inclined.
  • Ability to read and understand technical prints preferred
  • Knowledge of rubber/plastic products is beneficial
  • Familiarity with ISO quality requirements is helpful
  • Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license.
