About the role

Operating as a key member of Tritium’s Americas team, the Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for all pre- and post-sale technical support. This role is solutions, integration and services oriented, focusing on finding solutions for customers to deliver the best customer experience on owning Tritium EV charging equipment.

We’re seeking a Technical Support Engineer to serve as the primary technical interface between Tritium and our US customers. You’ll provide expert-level support for our DC fast charging infrastructure, combining deep technical knowledge of power electronics and EV charging systems with exceptional customer service. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while directly supporting the electrification of transportation across America.

In addition to direct technical support responsibilities, the Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for the development of more junior colleagues, process and tool improvements, and will act as a subject matter expert, liaising with software and hardware engineering teams in Brisbane and beyond.

Key responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving complex hardware/software issues, collaborating with our Brisbane engineering teams, supporting field technicians with installations, and creating technical documentation. You’ll interface with major charging networks and fleet operators, ensuring optimal performance of our RTM75, PKM150, and TRI-FLEX charging systems.

This position is preferably located on the East Coast or Central region, however we are open to this role being based anywhere in the US with willingness to travel as needed.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related technical field
  • 3-5 years experience in technical support, field service, or power electronics
  • Strong understanding of AC/DC power conversion, electrical safety, and industrial control systems
  • Customer-facing technical support experience with complex electro-mechanical systems
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Willingness to travel 25-30% for customer site visits
  • Passion for sustainable transportation and clean energy solutions

Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000 annually
