We are seeking a Ship Trials Deficiency Management Specialist to join our team. You will provide comprehensive technical and administrative support for the TSM and ETC systems, ensuring accurate tracking, management, and reporting of all deficiency and trial card records throughout the inspection and trial process. The position also supports onsite trial operations, data integrity, system compliance, and coordination with OPC PRO and INSURV personnel to enable effective decision-making and program oversight. This position requires that you are on-site in Mobile, Al.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- TSM/ETC System Administration and Compliance: Manage and maintain the Technical Support Management (TSM) and Electronic Trial Card (ETC) systems, ensuring cybersecurity compliance, system readiness, and data integrity.
- Deficiency Records and Trial Card Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of deficiency records and trial cards, from creation through closure, supporting inspections, test cycles, CARs, and post-trial deficiency resolution.
- Data Management and Reporting: Develop, maintain, and transfer ship-specific deficiency data; generate weekly program, technical, and financial status reports; and produce trial card and metrics-based performance updates.
- Technical Support for Inspections, Trials, and Reviews: Support pre-trial, trial, and post-trial activities by assisting INSURV and OPC PRO personnel, conducting screenings, creating new trial cards, and providing technical input for audits, assessments, and milestone reviews.
- Deployment and On-Site Operational Support: Maintain deployable IT infrastructure for sea trials, support deficiency entry during dockside and at-sea events, respond to INSURV data requests, and participate in meetings and program reviews.
Required Qualifications:
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience.
- Proficient in the use of the Government TSM system and the ETC tool.
- Knowledge of ship construction deficiency records management process.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must possess an active DoD Secret clearance
