Job Description Summary

The University of South Alabama’s Dean-Nursing department is seeking to hire two Clinical Affiliations Coordinators. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.

Essential Functions

  • Serves as the clinical affiliations coordinator for the College of Nursing with State Higher Education Boards, Boards of Nursing, Clinical Agencies, and Preceptors.
  • Acts as liaison between the College of Nursing faculty, administration, University attorney’s office and outside agencies and boards with respect to contracts.
  • Compiles data from various resources using Banner, college website, bulletin, and faculty/administrative files.
  • Responds to requests for information from Higher Education Boards.
  • Submits reports by the required deadline.
  • Establishes and manages files for each of the 50 states.
  • Coordinates with the College of Nursing administration and faculty to ensure that the college remains compliant with State Board of Nursing regulations.
  • Compiles and updates State Board of Nursing listings to include information regarding specific requirements for students, faculty, and preceptors.
  • Assists faculty with clinical site placements for students.
  • Collects, assembles, and documents that all clinical agreements and preceptor agreements are in order.
  • Monitors to assure that faculty and students have met all regulations required by hosting clinical site, State Board of Nursing, and Higher Education Board.
  • Serves as a resource/liaison for faculty regarding these clinical affiliations by researching appropriate websites, contracts, etc.
  • Coordinates with Academic Affairs office to provide information for completing applications for state authorizations.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
  • Related duties as required.
