About the Role:
We are seeking 5 Audio Quality Auditors with strong linguistic and analytical skills to support a short-term remote project focused on U.S. regional accent identification and audio quality review. In this role, you will listen to recorded audio conversations and evaluate each speaker’s dialect, clarity, fluency, and alignment with project criteria.

This project requires a deep familiarity with U.S. regional accents, attention to detail, and experience working with audio files. The ideal candidate will bring experience in linguistics, transcription, speech analysis, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Listen to audio recordings (2–5 minutes in duration) and manually evaluate:
  • Speaker accent and regional dialect match (e.g., Southern, New York, Midwest, etc.)
  • Pronunciation clarity and fluency for both speakers
  • Speech fragmentation, background noise, and code-switching
  • Relevance to topic and speech completeness
  • Gender identification for each speaker
  • Label and tag each audio file based on the project’s standardized quality criteria
  • Maintain consistency and accuracy across reviews
  • Complete reviews within provided timelines
  • Communicate issues, red flags, or unclear segments to the project team as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Fluent in U.S. English
  • Demonstrated familiarity with U.S. regional accents
  • Excellent auditory skills and phonetic awareness
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow quality review guidelines
  • Access to a reliable computer, headphones, and stable internet
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in audio transcription, speech recognition, or linguistic review
  • Background in sociolinguistics or phonetics
  • Prior work with audio tagging tools or labeling software

Additional Information:

This is a remote contract role with project-based hours and flexibility in scheduling.
