Responsibilities:

• Transport patients safely via wheelchair or stretcher, ensuring proper positioning and identification.
• Operate medical devices and perform routine equipment cleaning and maintenance reporting issues.
• Assist with patient transfers from bed to wheelchair or stretcher and help with getting patients into or out of vehicles.
• Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies during all duties.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
• Participate in safety evaluations, quality improvement activities, and mandatory training.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including privacy and exposure precautions.
• Support environmental safety and assist with committee participation as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; experience can substitute education.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently, follow protocols, and demonstrate a strong bedside manner.
• Commitment to safety, infection control, and organizational policies.
