Main Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production equipment; perform routine and preventive maintenance as required.
- Collaborate with the shift coordinator and department manager to reduce downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
- Follow all company and department safety, housekeeping, and environmental policies and procedures; actively participate in safety meetings and initiatives; identify, report, and help eliminate workplace hazards.
- Support quality assurance efforts and participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Complete all required training within designated timelines.
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts (if certified.)
- Perform inventory control tasks, including tracking, recording, and material handling.
- Load and unload materials onto trucks and/or railcars safely and efficiently.
- Operate process control equipment through Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs.)
About You / Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in heavy industry, construction, manufacturing, or a related field
- Basic computer literacy, including the ability to navigate HMIs or similar systems
- Fundamental mechanical skills and a strong mechanical aptitude
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee will be required to operate or work with the following machines, tools, and workstations:
- Equipment/Tools: Cab crane, forklift, hand torch, Hilti gun
- Workstations/Areas: Burn bed, overhead crane, pulpit (control station), shipping floor
The employee will be required to sit, stand, and/or walk as needed. The shift is 12 hours, and the amount of sitting, standing, or walking will vary based on workload. The employee will alternate between sitting, standing, and walking as needed throughout the shift.
The position requires the following talking, vision and hearing capabilities:
- Talking person to person, on the phone, and in a group setting
- Hearing in person, on the phone, and in a group setting
- Vision near, midrange, far, and peripheral vision
- Depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
The position requires the following pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying capabilities:
- Push, pull, lift, and/or carry items weighing 50 pounds or less

- In confined areas, high places, and around equipment in motion
- Amid noise
- Amid mechanical, electrical, chemical, and industrial magnets hazards
Position Type, Expected Work Hours, Travel Requirements
- Position is full time, non-exempt, and is eligible for overtime
- Position works (12) hours a day, rotating shifts to include days, nights and weekends
