About the Role

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to support the development, improvement, and optimization of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production systems. The role will work closely with engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, and other cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing efficiency, product quality, reliability, and cost performance.

The ideal candidate has hands-on manufacturing or process engineering experience and can independently manage moderately complex engineering projects while applying data-driven problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, improve, and maintain manufacturing processes, procedures, and production workflows.
• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvements in quality, productivity, cost, safety, and efficiency.
• Support new product introduction and manufacturing transfer activities.
• Develop manufacturing process plans, work instructions, process documentation, and related engineering deliverables.
• Evaluate manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and production layouts.
• Support equipment installation, process implementation, testing, and production readiness.
• Investigate manufacturing problems and perform root-cause analysis to identify corrective actions.
• Apply statistical methods and process capability analysis to evaluate manufacturing performance.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Support process validation, verification, qualification, and production implementation activities when required.
• Collaborate with Quality, Design Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Operations, and external suppliers.
• Provide technical recommendations related to manufacturability, process design, equipment, tooling, and production methods.
• Support cost reduction, waste reduction, productivity improvement, and process optimization projects.
• Maintain accurate engineering and manufacturing documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
• Manage multiple engineering projects, schedules, priorities, and deliverables.
• Communicate technical findings, project status, risks, and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
• Support supplier technical reviews and manufacturing development activities when required.
• Ensure manufacturing processes meet applicable quality, safety, regulatory, and company requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of relevant manufacturing, process, or engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes, process improvement, or production engineering.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience analyzing manufacturing data and using statistical methods to improve processes.
• Ability to independently manage multiple engineering projects and priorities.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering and operations teams.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining effective communication and project accountability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Six Sigma certification or related continuous improvement training.
• Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC), process capability analysis, DOE, or other statistical tools.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar platforms.
• Experience with ERP, PLM, MES, or manufacturing management systems.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, automation, or robotics.
• Experience with new product introduction (NPI), manufacturing transfer, or production ramp-up.
• Experience working with suppliers and external manufacturing partners.
• Knowledge of GD&T and mechanical engineering drawings.
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment such as aerospace, medical devices, automotive, or other highly controlled industries.
